The EHA community includes members from various players in the industry, ranging from producers to operators. Student Impact provides the EHA with a status-quo assessment of the industry’s sustainability as well as with an analytical evaluation of actions towards a more sustainable industry overall.

HiltiThermoplan develops and produces fully automatic coffee machines in the highest Swiss quality for professional use in restaurants and businesses. The family enterprise is globally active and supplies customers in 80 countries. At the Swiss headquarters in Weggis (Canton Lucerne) there are approximately 400 employees. The company has brought Student Impact on board to identify potentials for a more circular and sustainable business model.

ESG PlusDirect Coffee has designed a subscription that provides the customer with coffee on a regular basis. The sale not only pays the coffee farmer, but also finances school visits for the coffee farmers' children. Student Impact supported Direct Coffee in developing a communication concept.
Direct CoffeeOspelt is a medium-sized family business based in Liechtenstein, which is active in the food and gastronomy sector. As the company is confronted with a steadily increasing awareness of the importance of sustainability in the food segment on the customer side, the definition of a corresponding strategy became a priority topic for the management. Student Impact supports Ospelt Catering AG in defining and developing such a sustainability strategy with the aim of making the company's efforts in terms of ecological sustainability measurable and communicable.
OspeltBlumKaffee, an early-stage start-up from eastern Switzerland, is trying to make the coffee industry more environmentally and socially sustainable by offering high-quality coffee based on an integrated approach. Initially, the first customers in the gastronomy sector have already been won and in a next step, the company would like to offer coffee supply solutions in offices. Student Impact supports BlumKaffee in entering this market by identifying customer segments with optimal product-market fit and by defining a scalable marketing and sales roadmap.
BlumKaffeeThe University of St. Gallen has committed to carbon neutrality by 2030 as part of the implementation of the UN SDGs. In order to coordinate the activities to achieve this goal, the Climate Solutions Taskforce (CST) was created. Student Impact supports the CST and the carbon neutrality project of our alma mater, among other things, by sitting on the responsible committee and is also involved in a project this semester that examines the effective integration of the student perspective in the sustainability efforts of the HSG.

EniwaThrough the systematic measurement and management of relevant SDGs, Swiss Triple Impact (STI) helps companies to further develop their business models in such a way that they are sustainable on the one hand and can also achieve an environmental and social impact on the other. Thanks to STI's work, Switzerland should become an international leader in the measurement and management of SDGs in the long term. Student Impact is supporting STI in the conceptualisation of the development of the regional platform for Eastern Switzerland, as well as a blueprint for the development of further regional platforms. The collaboration is intended to ensure successful entry into new markets.
STI - BLabOxara is an early-stage start-up and spin-off of ETH Zurich that has developed a unique admixture technology for the production of sustainable building materials. The long-term goal of oxara is to promote sustainability in the building materials industry by reducing CO2 emissions and reusing excavated earth while enabling affordable housing around the world. Student Impact supports oxara by analysing the German construction industry and developing a market entry strategy including recommendations for its implementation.
OxaraYasai is an ETH spin-off in the field of Food & Ag-Tech with the goal of becoming the leading vertical farming company in Switzerland and beyond. They offer on the one hand the technology and on the other hand the services to grow vegetables, fruits and other plants in a resource-efficient way in city centres. Student Impact supports Yasai in entering the market and identifies promising business models for the Swiss market. In doing so, Student Impact supports STI in the conceptualisation of the development of the regional platform Eastern Switzerland, as well as a blueprint for the development of further regional platforms. The collaboration is intended to ensure successful entry into new markets.
YasaiUp-Volt is an early stage start-up, based in Basel, which is still focused on the reuse and upcycling of e-bike batteries, but wants to enter larger second life battery applications in the future. Student Impact supports UpVolt in its market entry by developing a business case and, in a subsequent step, by designing a roadmap with scaling opportunities, takes a longer-term view to provide UpVolt with a good and competitive basis in an increasingly relevant and growing market.
upVoltGrainmade is the B2C subsidiary of UpGrain. UpGrain is a Swiss company that offers innovative solutions for the sustainable production of plant-based raw materials for the food industry. Our project consists of two phases, a status quo analysis targeted at recalibrating the value proposition, and the development of a marketing strategy based on the findings of the first phase.
GrainmadeThe cleantech start-up KUORI develops and sells circular, innovative materials that are produced with the help of food side streams. Student Impact is tasked with providing a comprehensive overview of the global plastics market, identifying further use-cases for KUORI’s innovative material and proposing alternative market-entry strategies.
